· This also helps the potential teachers learn, explore and exercise various teaching strategies and tactics and build a rapport with students (the real-time teaching is most likely to make its way during the third semester of the course)

· During the course, teachers in training also have to complete many projects and tasks according to their subject choice (these projects can relate to the subject as a whole or specifically to the teaching methodology)

What are the prospects of having a B. Ed. degree?

India has a very large population, and education is a basic right of human beings. India has a large number of schools to fulfil this basic need, making it a great opportunity for people genuinely interested in teaching. There is nothing more rewarding than imparting knowledge to people. There is no age limit when it comes to learning, and neither is there any age limit to teaching. Teaching is a privilege to anyone who wants to add value and service to the country’s development.

B. Ed is a mandatory degree for individuals wishing to pursue teaching as their career (beginning with school). Through this degree, individuals are trained about the various teaching aspects and teaching strategies and increase their knowledge in their specialization. The teacher in training is equipped with the required tools and tactics of teaching methodologies to become an effective and successful educator.

The progression of the individual's career as a teacher depends on the type of training they received and their choice of institution post the course is complete. A big factor that affects their payment is their counselling session experience. Another significant part that plays a role in determining their future is the place of employment. A teacher in a government setting has job security. But a teacher in the private sector, although subjected to many perks and privileges, lacks job security. Every aspect has pros and cons, and hence, choosing how to move forward in a career after the degree is completed is left up to the trained individual.

Times can change. Offline can shift to online, but the significance of a teacher will remain. A teacher impacts a student drastically. Teaching is not just a job but is a sense of empowerment and satisfaction. It is a way of giving back to society by enlightening the young minds and shaping the generation. To become a teacher in a school setting, a B.Ed degree completion is the first step.
